Categories: Competitors 20 years & under belong to the age group up to the end of the calendar year in which they reach the given age.  Competitors 21 or over belong to the age group from the beginning of the calendar year in which they will reach the given age.

Eligibility for championship titles: Only paid-up members of SAOF affiliated clubs, holding SA passport or permanent resident status.

Newcomers: Beginners, novices and children are encouraged to take part in this event. There will be suitable courses available, and the fact that there are championship courses should not discourage anybody wanting to try the sport. We recommend that you bring along a whistle, cell phone, hat, sunscreen, raincoat/space blanket and personal medication (if required).

Training opportunities: There will be a colour-coded event on 12 September 2010 at Nuweberg Forest, Grabouw. Please see www.penoc.org.za for more details closer to the time.

Embargoed area: The western part of Eikenhof plantation stretching from the Klipdrif River (Long 18 deg 59 min 31 sec) in the east to the Gantouw Pass in the west. Bounded in the south by the N2 and in the north by the Hottentotsholland Mountains.
