Classes and Participation Restrictions

Competitors 20 years & under belong to the age group up to the end of the calendar year in which they reach the given age.  Competitors 21 or over belong to the age group from the beginning of the calendar year in which they will reach the given age.

M40 40 and over 1970 W35 35 and over 1975

To be eligible for official Championship titles, participants must be paid-up members of an Orienteering club affiliated to the SAOF, hold an SA passport or have permanent resident status.

SA Sprint Championship  Courses
There will be 5 courses available as follows:

Men A M20, M21, M40 Women A W20, W21, W35
Men B M12, M16, M50, M60, M70 Women B W12, W16, W45, W55, W65
Novice

GOC Champs Courses
Eight courses for both Championships with varying distances and technicality will be available.

Training Opportunities

There is a colour-coded event in Gauteng on 2 May 2010 at Protea Ridge. The various Gauteng Orienteering Clubs can be contacted to request training maps in similar terrain.
