George van Jaarsveld Retires

The SAOF would like to take this opportunity to thank George van Jaarsveld for the work he has done for the Federation over the years. George was elected to the SAOF Management Committee as Vice President Administration on the 23rd September 2007. In September 2009 he was succeeded as the VP Administration by Bernelle Verster but he stayed on as the SAOF Treasurer. George, who retired from payed employment a few years ago, decided that he would now like to totally retire and therefore gave notice that he would have hand over his treasurer duty with effect from the 30th June 2011. We would like to wish him all the best in his retirement and hope to see him at orienteering events in the future.
