The SAOF receives financial aid from the National Lotteries Board and SRSA. Internal funds come from affiliation of club members, levies on event entries and equipment hire. SASCOC influences much of what we do. We need to increase the exposure of the sport to the public as well as increase the quality of sport.
There are many advantages of affiliating to the SAOF. They include the opportunity to compete at international level with national colours. Financial aid at this level is available, subject to terms and conditions. In addition, the SAOF aims to uphold the high quality of orienteering and allow open, unbiased debate between its members.
