Overnight rain, flooded roads, traffic lights on the blink, rain-soaked fields… We made the call to cancel this afternoon’s Orienteering Schools League (OSL) event, especially as further storms were predicted for this afternoon.
We’re very wary of storms, especially after the lightning incident at Parktown last year. With this in mind we updated our lightning policy and we also purchased a lightning detection device to keep you – and us – safe out there.
OSL will pick up again next Monday with the event, as planned, at Heronbridge.
