We were delighted to have Lynne Walker travel out from the UK to a perform the final assessments for our aspiring UK Level 2 coaches and to deliver the Level 1 UK coaching course to 5 new eager coaches.

The SAOF AGM was held on the 23rd September 2013 in conjunction with the SA Orienteering Championships held in Cape Town. Looking back, much has been achieved over the past few years. The SAOF management committee looks forward to working with all orienteers as we strive to continue to grow orienteering in South Africa.

On the 17th August the Polokwane O club and Mphachue O club joined forces to host their first event.

The World Games 2013 has started and the orienteering events start next week! The World Games is like an ‘Olympics’ for those sporting disciplines not represented at the Olympics. 2013 World Games in Cali, Colombia from 25 July to 4 August.

The SAOF is supporting the efforts of Ephraim Chuene and Mphachue Seconday School to grow orienteering in Limpopo.
