The South African Orienteering Federation held its AGM at Oaklane Cottages near Grabouw in the western Cape on Saturday 25th September. You can read the minutes of the meeting as well as the reports of the various management committee members under the Administration tab. As well as these various reports and the discussions that they stimulated, the meeting saw the election of a new Management Committee, a new Selection Committee and the Silva Trophy was awarded.
The new management committee looks forward to taking the sport of Orienteering forward in South Africa with the support of the wider orienteering community. The new committee is:

The Selection Committee is responsible for reviewing the High Performance strategic plan and selecting teams to represent South Africa at international orienteering events. More detail can be found under the High Performance tab.
The Silva Award is awarded annually for outstanding service to Orienteering in South Africa. In 2010 this was awarded to Garry Morrison.
